Day 2: Get The Sin Out
Before going any further, we need to take a moment to actually define sin. The lines today have become so blurred, many have no idea what sin really is anymore. We’ve lost the boundaries—we’ve lost the definition of right and wrong. Everyone is doing what is right in their own eyes.
Simply put, sin is anything Jesus would not do. You see, Jesus faced the same temptations we do, and He faced them as flesh and blood just as we are—however, He did not sin. The writer of the book of Hebrews tells us that we “do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15 NASB). Apparently then, there is a way to face the temptations of life without sinning—and Jesus is our example.
